Privacy Policy
How Okayok handles data for the Lightokay website and desktop app.
Last updated: 2026-10-11
This policy covers lightokay.okayok.ai (the "website") and the Lightokay desktop app (the "app"). Lightokay is made by Okayok.
The app
Lightokay is a local-first photo manager and RAW editor.
- Runs locally. Browsing, previews, color analysis, filtering and editing happen on your computer. Your photos, videos and the library database stay on your machine.
- No photo upload. The app does not send your photos, file names, tags or edits to Okayok.
- Update checks. The app connects to GitHub (github.com/okayok-ai/lightokay-releases) to check for and download updates. GitHub receives standard request data such as your IP address and app version.
- Logs. Diagnostic logs are written to your computer only. If you send us a log for support, we use it only to help with your request.
The website
- Analytics. We use Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the website is used: pages visited, clicks and scrolling, device and browser type, approximate location, and referrer. These services may use cookies. See Microsoft's privacy statement and Google's privacy policy.
- Hosting. The website is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request data such as IP address and user agent to serve pages.
- Downloads. Installers are served from GitHub Releases, which processes standard request data to deliver the file.
- Language preference. A cookie may remember your language choice.
- No accounts or payments. The website has no sign-up and doesn't take payments.
We don't sell personal data.
Your choices
You can block cookies or analytics scripts in your browser settings; the website still works without them. To ask about or delete data related to you, contact us.
