Install

System requirements, installing and updating Lightokay on macOS.

Requirements

  • A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later).
  • Enough free disk space for thumbnails and previews of your libraries.

Windows and Linux builds are planned but not available yet.

Install

  1. Download the .dmg from the download page. All versions are listed on GitHub Releases.
  2. Open it and drag Lightokay into Applications.
  3. Open Lightokay. Because builds are signed and notarized by Apple, macOS opens them without extra steps.

Updates

Lightokay checks for updates automatically and offers to install a new version when it's ready.

Coming from PixFlow

Lightokay was previously released as PixFlow. It keeps using the same library and settings folders, so your existing libraries open as before. You can delete the old PixFlow app after installing Lightokay.
